COVID-19 Update: 3/24/20

To our valued customers, colleagues and partners,

As you may know, the Governor of Maryland yesterday issued an Executive Order closing non-essential businesses in the State of Maryland in an effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

According to the interpretive guidance from the Governor’s Office of Legal Counsel, Curtis Engine provides mission-critical equipment, parts, and services to a number of the sectors that are considered Essential Critical Infrastructure Industries including Commercial Facilities, Communications, Critical Manufacturing, Emergency Services, Energy, Financial Services, Food and Agriculture, Government Facilities, Healthcare and Public Health, Information Technology, Transportation, and Water and Wastewater Systems. Thus we are not required to close in response to this Executive Order.

Curtis Engine, therefore, intends to continue operations to the extent possible in this rapidly evolving situation. Our field service technicians are still working in the field and responding to emergencies and performing maintenance and testing activities. Our office is closed, but the rest of our staff is working remotely to support the technicians in the field and continuing to work with our customers and suppliers to keep their projects on schedule.

While we are not currently experiencing material delays or workforce shortages, we understand the possibility of this occurring. We realize that our vendors will be equally concerned about their workforce and safety, and we will be considerate of their concerns regarding performance and expectations. We are speaking to our suppliers to keep tabs on their internal policies towards COVID-19 and anticipated material procurement dates. Should any labor shortages or critical material delivery dates be affected, we will notify you immediately.

We greatly value our partnership with you and are appreciative of your support of Curtis Engine. We wish you and your loved ones good health and well-being during this critical time.

Thank you,

Trip Harrison
