Emergency standby backup power for the campus expansion and renovation of Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD

Opened on Nov. 1, 2015, the Holy Cross Hospital South Building added 150 private patient rooms in critical care, intermediate care and medical-surgical units, allowing Holy Cross Hospital to join Holy Cross Germantown Hospital as the only area hospitals to offer private rooms to all patients. The building represents Holy Cross Hospital's largest expansion in more than 50 years, adding 232,000 square feet and bringing the latest technology, privacy and comfort to all patients. The building was designed by SmithGroupJJR of Washington, D.C.

Curtis Engine supplied three 1,750kW diesel gensets in custom enclosures which had to be extensively tested at the factory, shipped to the site, disassembled and lifted onto the roof of the building, then reassembled and tested again during commissioning.
