SYRACUSE, New York – January 8, 2024 – Curtis Power Solutions (CPS), a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, announced that it has acquired Syracuse, New York based Independent Field Service, LLC (IFS), a sales, service, and maintenance provider for generator sets, heavy-duty machinery engines, and marine engines.
As of March 20, 2023, Pennsylvania-based Emergency System Service Company (ESSCO) and Alternative Power Sources (APS) began transitioning their names and branding to ‘Curtis Power Solutions.’
Hitting the road! This February, the Curtis Power Solutions Rental Generator Department purchased and received a second 2 meg rental generator – and has already secured its first two stops on a lifelong journey of providing power.
2022 was another groundbreaking year for Curtis Power Solutions. We expanded our territory into New York and western Pennsylvania, acquired Alternative Power Sources, and opened our newest location in Buffalo, NY. Along with these milestones came many successes; however, the power generation industry’s continued supply chain challenges drove our teams to create innovative solutions.
As 2022 comes to a close, Curtis Power Solutions (CPS) is pleased to trumpet our expanded, stronger presence up and down the East Coast. In 2023, we are looking forward to leveraging our extended reach to provide world-class power generation equipment sales, parts, rentals and services for commercial, institutional, and government customers from the Canadian border all the way down to North Carolina.
Late July 2022 was a sobering time for many as flash floods ripped across eastern Kentucky exacting a devastating toll on many families and businesses. Western Branch Diesel (WBD), an Indel Power Group company, wasn’t immune to the destruction either. As the floodwaters poured through Lost Creek, KY, they destroyed the WBD branch, leaving many employees without work and customers without service.

The 13th annual mtu Power Generation Symposium, held October 12-13, 2022, enjoyed its largest attendance since the pandemic as hundreds of power generation professionals from across the Americas descended on Mankato, MN, for two packed days of educational sessions and networking opportunities.
